Ghirardelli Chocolate
The Ghirardelli Chocolate Company is a United States division of Swiss candymaker Lindt & Sprüngli. The company was founded by and is named after Italian chocolatier Domingo Ghirardelli, who, after working in South America, moved to California. The Ghirardelli Chocolate Company was incorporated in 1852, and is the second-oldest chocolate company in the United States, after Baker's Chocolate. Ghirardelli premium chocolate varieties include 60% cacao dark chocolate, milk or 60% cacao with caramel filling, dark chocolate with raspberry filling, white chocolate with vanilla bean, dark chocolate with mint filling, milk chocolate, and milk chocolate with caramelized almonds.
Scharffen Berger Chocolate
Scharffen Berger Chocolate is a line of chocolate produced by Artisan Confections Company, a subsidiary of The Hershey Company. Acquired by Hershey in 2005, it was formerly produced by Scharffen Berger Chocolate Maker, an independent Berkeley, California-based chocolate maker, founded in 1996 by sparkling wine maker John Scharffenberger and physician Robert Steinberg. Unlike other chocolatiers, Scharffen Berger started the manufacturing process with the raw product, cacao beans, and transformed them into chocolate. It is the first American company set up in the past 50 years to process chocolate from beans.

A Switzerland's oldest chocolate company, was founded in 1845 by David Sprungli-Schwarz and his son, Rudolf Sprungli-Ammann. Its brand names include, Ghirardelli, Caffarel, Lindt, Lindor, and Swiss Tradition.
